Here's an interview I did with 3DTotal a little while back and promptly forgot about it.

www.3dtotal.com/interview/883-…

There are pictures! And words! Find out about my shapely elbows, my plans for world conquest (none) and who Mr Metcalfe is!

No refund on your time spend reading, may contain nuts... or at least someone who is nuts. You have been warned.

Nice article! haha

"At an early age I was drawn to artists with humor and strong storytelling skills like Norman Rockwell, Wallace Tripp, Albert Uderzo (Asterix & Obelix) and so on"

Albert Uderzo and Rene Goscinny kinda raised me up as a kid together with Morris (Lucky Luke) and most of all André Franquin.
It would surprise me if you didn't know Franquin's work but word on the street says that Hergé (Tintin) and Peyo (smurfs) were kinda yealous on the flawless drawingskills Franquin had.

There are numerous youtube movies from back in the days where some of these legends cope together on one huge paper...

But as you said, there are many, many talented illustrator/artists out there. Difficult to pick a few names ;)

Cheers

Yeah, Lucky Luke was another one, along with Oompapa, Iznogood and the Smurfs. I didn't find André Franquins work until much later on... but thats probably because I live in Australia and his stuff never got the coverage here that it deserved.
So difficult to cut the list to a short one for the interview!

OK OK there is a little "e" in addition... normal for a math teacher :D

That 'e' is pretty important... and possibly close to the grade I got in math that year ;)

Cheers my friend!
